Just taken my first tibolone tablet

just taken my first tibolone tablet, very anxious as a few years ago I gained 3stones in 7 months when given a contraceptive injection, very wary of taking medication in case similar happens, has anyone  had weight gain issues while on this? Thanks

    I'd love to tell you no but I came off it in the end due to weight gain though it did stop all other symptoms so if you're lucky and it doesn't affect you in that way give it chance. I've moved onto estrogel but tbh the weight isn't dropping off because I'm off of it but I have stopped gaining like i was. Mind you it may not be going down coz of the xmas mince pies in the office at this time of year!!

      Oh no, not what I wanted to hear as doctor said I shouldn't gain weight on it, but that's what has happened in the past. Thanks for your reply, I will try it for a month and see

      I didn't put an extra weight on and even managed to lose a stone on a diet. I had put on the weight previously as after my hysterectomy I wasn't as active and became depressed with the menopausal symptoms. Bit once I motivated myself and did HIIT training twice a week it dropped off. I've put a few pounds on this Xmas though :-S

      I've been reading up and too much hrt causes all over weight gain. I've now joined slimming club and joined gym and weight has slowed to 2lb gain a week. I've put on 3 stone since having op in May but been good not used as excuse to stop. I went back to work before sicknote ran out as had a great recovery. I'm going to try reducing my dose and see if this changes

    Hi.i am 47 and going to find a doctor do start a hormone replacemen,because a iam having some sintoms od pre menopause and it is affecting my life in a bad way.mood swing, exausted,libido zero, no sex drive at all ,very dizzy and very hevy periods .

    i do not have hot flashes.i have a friend in brasil who took tibolone pills and her libido went all way up.is this pills just for libido problem in menopause or for others sintoms too?i am just looking around waht people say about hth, kinds of pills and reviews, so when i talk to my doctor i will be aware of some of them.thank you

      Hi Tibolone is not just to improve your sex drive mine cured my terrible hot flushes, mood swings and tiredness.

    Only just joined, so just seen your query. I have been on tibolone tablets for 10 years, I haven't gained weight. I found these tablets to give me a good feeling of well being. They have helped me tremendously .

      Hi Dorothy, did you have a break out bleed when first starting?

      Had one 4 months in and now in the 5th month have started again??

      Love this medication and do not wish to stop itsad

    I haven't gained weight either infact I've lost a stone since being on it without extreme dieting or excessive exercising. I then put 5 lb back on over the Xmas period and have lost it again already. I've been on them for 1 1/2 years.

    Hi.i went to my doctor today and he prescribed me tibolone 2.5 mg but i can not find here in the USA, can you tell me where to u find it to buy, please?
