Just when I thought I was getting better... help.

My anxiety seemed to be a distant memory, I was fine, no symptoms for about a month...I was feeling back to my old self. On Monday my boss said we would be going back to working 8 hours by Friday, we had been working six... and suddenly I felt this anxiety start coming back out of nowhere. That instant I felt hot, it's such a dumb reason to get anxious over. Now I have the pins and needles and numbness all over again. Is this normal?? To just get it out of the blue after it has gone away?? And over something so small?! Help please

Very normal. Iwas told the smallest thing could kick off anxiety. Also something we may not notice will start it off , subconsciously anxiety will notice changes we don't really react to that much physically, but mentally we will feel symptoms creep in again then link the two together. It may come and go, I've kind of got used to it over years and cope better, but is a stinker when you've had a relatively long time of feeling ok, I get hot , shaky even and heart races sometimes and think oh bit anxious for some reason, it usually passes, but if it gets worse or the continuously worrying stats please tell your concerns to doctor, it is manageable??

Hi. Yes, will take a while to start working, just speaking from my experience. Will take couple of weeks to start to feel better, when I started a med years ago I felt as if my anxiety was worse for few days, it was also quite scary as I couldn't ask anybody like posting here. I needed somebody to tell me it would take a few days of feeling like this before it got better. Quite scary as I of courses wanted it to work overnight , another anxiety symptom, overthinking. I thought I must be on wrong med or maybe I was worse than everyone else and it wouldnt work. Stick with it , it is normal, if still unsure speak to doc with concerns but I would give it a while, you will feel yuk for a while, but if it's the right med it will be worth it if it helps??

Yea it's normal...usually we get anxious when something REAL bothers us then we let our mind start running and we are off to the races chasing down every scary though and body symptom. Just try to comfort yourself and give yourself positive affirmations and think that these thoughts are only thoughts and they can't hurt you. Congrats on feeling better. It's just a setback nothing to dwell on😀
