Just wondering?

Hey everyone 😊 just wondering how does anxiety make you feel dizzy? I've dealt with all the other symptoms from racing heart adrenalin pumping not being able to eat feeling sick being tired all those things .... But the dizziness just won't go away! It's so annoying and frustrating. It comes at random times ... And makes me feel awful. Is it actually from the anxiety? Is this the last thing I need to overcome? Anyone else feel like this? Sometimes I just feel like I'm going to pass out?

I get the dizziness too. Mine is there pretty much 24/7 but worse when I'm not distracted by anything and sitting down (weirdly!)
I was told by my GP that it's my body's way of manifesting the anxiety - sort of wasted adrenaline.
So when we get anxious our bodies prepare for fright or flight and if we're not in a dangerous situation it manifests as these symptoms.
I've tried to learn to live with it but it's makes me so miserable sometimes. In terms of stopping it I think I need to accept that these are anxiety symptoms and not anything nasty!
I hope that helps and good luck! X

it is very important to eat properly which I find hard to do,as my appetite is non existent, but it really does help to have the right nutrition. Not eating properly really contributes to dizzy spells.
Hope we both feel better soon.

I get the dizzy feeling constantly currently. However I have just started a new course of SSRIs. But it was present before I started the medication. The dizziness is something I've found I can challenge though. If I feel dizzy when I'm walking around or whatever I just carry on walking as I am. Because I know that I can. Does that make sense? If you feel on the verge of passing out or losing balance whilst walking I'd recommend you just carry on. Once you realise none of these things happen you'll know it's psychosomatic.
I also get vertigo when I'm sat down but that's really just a case of dealing with it. I find it easier to just let it be and try and put a positive spin on it. Like being high or something. Haha.
It's not particularly helpful advice but it's just an adrenaline dump. You're gonna be fine. It's such a common symptom!
Hope you're well!
