KEEP NEEDING TO PEE

Hi everyone. Just looking for anyone with similar issue. Two weeks ago i went to the toilet & not whilst urinating but after i finished i felt sharp pains in my bladder for about 45 seconds & then it went away. Ever since then it feels like my bladder is 'filling' quite quickly. I dont have any pain except for that one time & that was after urinating not whilst urinating. It's like my bladder has become very sensitive. About 30 yrs ago i was diagnosed with an overactive bladder & i am going to see my GP but just wondering if this issue is back again. When i had it all those years ago i had to retrain my bladder to hold larger amounts of urine & it eventually went away. Even when i'm walking i can feel my bladder. My only fear this time around is that unfortunately i'm a smoker & i'm now 54 not 24 when i got it last time is bladder cancer. This was not a fear 30 yrs ago but it is now. I 'm postmenopausal & i do recognise that bladder problems are a thing for menopausal women but just wondering if anybody has had a similar problem. I don't leak urine i just feel the need to go alot. Just one last thing, Of course i can't be 100% certain until i see my GP but i'm almost certain this is not a UTI.

I'd go and see your gp and give a urine sample, have you done that yet?

HI & thanks for replying. I haven't been to my GP as yet coz she's abit backed up at the moment giving people booster shots due to covid. But as i mentioned in my original post i'm not completely ruling an infection out until i get to see her but my gut tells me it's not a UTI coz i don't have any pain during urination & urine smells & looks normal.
