Keratosis Pilaris - how do I get rid of it!!

Hi guys,

I have always suffered from KP on my upper arms (severely) and my legs (moderately). My arms are the biggest problem. The KP on my arms is so red and angry looking that I NEVER wear short sleeves. I hate it so much and am so self conscious of it that I would rather wear a long sleeve top in the blistering heat. My question is, has anyone ever got rid of it?

Now before anyone asks.. I am a long term sufferer so I’ve tried just about EVERYTHING. The only thing that’s totally got rid of it before is using a sunbed (which are now banned in Australia)

I have tried the following:

Exfoliating with a scrub

Exfoliating with a glove

Moisturising using a massive range of moisturisers morning and night

Coconut oil morning and night

Using products with salicylic acid

Not taking baths

Not shaving my arms

Eradicating gluten from my diet

Not eating spicy/acidic food

Using all natural body washes/moisturisers/exfoliant

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?! Please help me. I’m sick of living in a body that I hate.

Yep, UV light is the best fix for KP in my experience. Is it not possible to buy a therapeutic sunbed in Australia? My son had moderate KP and I get a bit. During the summer it completely clears up.
