Ketchup

Hi,

I have been wondering if people who can't tolerate tomatoes and spaghetti sauce can tolerate ketchup? I am not sure if it should go on my suspect list.

    Try it and see. I eat it, but then I also have the odd tomatoes, with skins and seeds removed, with no ill effects.

    Sometimes I can tolerate Ketchup but

    small amounts. Tomatoes not at all

    Hi Julie,

    I have had a little ketchup and it worked fine so far!biggrin  It sure is nice to say that a food  is okay when so many are not!

    It depends on how bad your tolerance level is. My diverticulitis was so bad it started affecting my stomach. I had a lot of acid due to diverticulitis inflammation. But never had any problems with ketchup or tomato sauce.

    I can tolerate small amount of ketchup but i darent do tomatoes or tomato sauces. Shame but not worth the pain.  I was told,by dr that anything with seeds is bad, so no raspberries etc and hopemthatnis keeping me ok.
