kidney damage stage 3A

hello i have high cholesterol and im on meds for that but i have been taking bad kidney infections and shortness of breath when over exerted at work i work in healthcare, i was sent for blood tests fasting and my results show i have kidney damage stage 3a i collected the results from my G.P surgery as i need to take them with me when i go to see a specialist next friday 3rd of March 2017 has anyone any idea what this means..?

    Hi,

    I would not speculate until you have seen the specialist and try not to worry I stayed at stage 3 for many years and there are people on here that have remained at stage 3 and never moved so it is not all doom and gloom.  See what the specialist has to say.  You also need to keep in mind that if you have infections these effect your kidney function, so you may find that once you get to the bottom of the infections and they clear up your kidney function may rise.  Kidney function naturally drops as we get older too but you haven't mentioned your age. Please do updates on here so people can see how you are getting on as your situation could help others.  Good luck at the specialist next week.

      Hi Helen thanks for your advice I'm 48 from Ireland mother of 5 children I developed weakness after first child.
