Kidney Stone

Sore testicles, groin, leg ache, burning at times passing of water, middle to low back pain. Sore tip of penis, feeling rough, face flushing. Doctor says I have a kidney stone. Urine sample back showing no blood or white and red cells. I had a quick ultra sound but nothing could be found. Do I have Kidney Stones ?

Preumably your doctor has tested and ruled out a urine infection?

Kidney stone pain can be diffuse and hard to pinpoint.

When mine passed, I noticed a burning sensation on passing water so you might be passing fragments that are not showing up on the ultrasound scan.

If it is a kidney stone that is still there, keep drinking lots of water to try and flush it out. If pain persists, go back to your doctor who might give you stronger pain

killers or refer you for better screening.

No infection anywhere. Kidneys or urine, no red or white cells in urine or blood so a good start. The pain of late is reducing and I don't keep needing to pass water. No back pain either...Thanks for replying

OK, you are improving, but keep up with the water drinking and see if there is anything in your diet that needs changing to reduce the chances of recurrence. It would help to know the mineral from which the stone is composed but if you don't have any fragments then you won't be able to get them tested. 80% of stones are calcium but this means that 20% aren't so cutting down on calcium may be a mistake.
