Kidney stone and Ovarian Cyst

I wanted to see if I could get some input. I do have an appointment tomorrow with my urologist and Wednesday for a pelvic ultrasound. My issues started at the beginning of April, when I was misdiagnosed in the ER with a UTI. Later found out that I had my first kidney stone, 4mm in the ureter and a 2mm in the left kidney. I had my appt with the urologist on April 26th and she said by my symptoms that the stone was still there. I had a uteroscopy on 5/10 and the stone had passed, but the dr said that it had stayed in one place so long that my ureter was completely obstructed. I was sent home with a stent, but still had symptoms after...that’s when a 4.8x3.6cm cyst was discovered. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, the second stone is passing. But it still hasn’t passed, by my symptoms. Is it possible that the cyst is hindering it from passing? I’ve read that I shouldn’t have this much trouble with a 2mm stone...but I’m tired, after 2 months of being in pain. I have only had pain medicine prescribed once for an abscessed tooth last year, but nothing aside from that. I can’t understand why I am being denied pain medication either. I can’t take ibuprofen due to a clotting disorder and blood thinners, so I’m stuck in agony. Sorry this is so long...thanks for any input.

Kidney stones are of varying shapes and their size may vary between less than 1 centimeter to a few inches. The largest kidney stone till date was 1.36 kilograms in weight and the smallest was microscopic, around 0.1mg in diameter. Small kidney stones are often passed out during urination and do not show any prominent symptom. I have read an amazing article entitled “Kidney Stone – Symptoms, Causes, Prevention and Treatment” at zovon.

Thank you for your reply. I had a rental and transvaginal ultrasound not long after this post. I had passed the stone, but the cyst is still growing and they are thinking it is putting pressure on my ureter, since my kidney is still backed up. I am waiting for a call for a diagnostic laparoscopy...hopefully will have some answers then!
