Kidney Stones

I have had stones nearly 20 years now. I get sick of the answer they don't hurt if they are non obstructing. I have pee'd pure blood. I have been unable to move and needed ambulance ride. Every time I go to RE they rescan me risking all that radiation and tell me they are in your kidney they shouldn't hurt. How do I know to go to ER? Back in old days they would run an IV full throttle and Cath you to see what came out and they would medicate you to the hilt. I have had no lie about 100 stones. Sometimes they did emergency procedure to get it and others did lithotripsy and still others nothing because they were small but they usually gave you meds. Nowadays it is they should not hurt wait for them to pass and no meds. They think you are a drug seeker. I passed a 7.5 mm stone last summer at hospital before they could medicate me. Unheard of. Once it passed I got up to leave. I wish they all had one bout and then told you they don't hurt. It is a sharp object in your organ trying to travel down a tiny tube. Why do they think there is blood? I get on paper I am the most frequent of flyers but if they reviewed my case I am never there with out an issue. Very frustrating.

I had kidney stones all last year so I know they hurt. They referred me to a urologist, who then referred me to another urologist, who then referred me to another urologist, who then referred me to another urologist who operated via keyhole surgery at beginning of December.

I have a follow up appointment with this urologist on Friday. My GP thinks it is possible that the kidney stones are coming back, and he had better be wrong. I cannot go through all this again.

Do they really think you end up at A and E because you have not got anything else to do?!!
