    Hi Ann

This could be fine, how old are you and what was your egfr number?

I have been 'monitored' for this for the last few years now . I'm 54 and my egfr was 41.

Since making simple dietry changes i.e cutting out sugar and having low carb diet my egfr has gone up to 56 😁

providing your numbers keep stable you have nothing to worry about just keeping healthy to promote good kidney / overall health.

Hard to say more without your providing the kidney function test results, or providing your age. It could mean simply:

    • Your results may be close to the border of normal. (GFR 60)
    • A single test result is never very meaningful. The real question is: is it stable? or is it moving down (and how fast)?

This, by itself, is not problematic. One could be on the border of normal for decades!
