kinda gross..

Does anybody experience diarrhea?  This has been the worst part and am wondering if anybody else is dealing with this and if so, have you found something that helps?

    Are you on any antiviral medication? Diarrhoea can be a side effect of a lot of medications so it could be that. I'd take Imodium or something similar personally as going to the toilet with an outbreak is so painful you don't want to be going more than necessary xx

      Hmm I guess that if you're immune system is already weakened by the virus maybe you've got a bug or something. Maybe it's worth going to your doctor to see if they can help xx

      When I was diagnosed last week I had loose stools (Not complete diarrhea) but I was also put on acyclovir for the sores and flagyl for the BV that came with the sores. I'm thinking that may have been a side effect from the meds and not the actual HSV.

    I was going to say maybe the medication too. I had really bad diarrhea the other day but I also took a probiotic. I think the probiotic I have makes me worse. But I wanted to take it because I have yeast in addition to possibly herpes. I agree maybe you have a bug or ate something bad? Have you had it a lot??

      I haven't been diagnosed with hsv although I've been dealing with weird symptoms for months.  I just got the blood test done so I'm waiting to hear back.  I have already self-diagnosed myself because I really don't know what else it would be.  I have had diarrhea a lot.  I was also diagnosed with BV and took medication for that 3 months ago but think it has come back or possibly never went away.  maybe it is a side effect of the bacteria ? Idk, it's just very annoying and I've tried changing my diet, taking a probiotic, lots of things.

      I would go see your GI doctor. I actually had a colonoscopy and endoscopy this year in January. I had stomach ulcers and found out I have a dairy allergy so I can't do dairy at all or it will give me what you're experiencing. I'm trying to gain weight and too many stomach issues interferes with that. What other symptoms are you having? For months? I went in immediately. I don't even have "bad" symptoms right now but I really want the itchiness and irritation to go away. I have a yeast infection for sure but I'm not on any mess for it. The med they gave me last week didn't work and since I'm taking an antibiotic because I think the doctor assumed I had chlymedia which I don't I have to finish that and the Valtrex which was given to me "in case" I have herpes. Monday can't come soon enough I just want my vagina to be normal again. I've had symptoms since Halloween.

      I've always had issues with my vagina.  I've only been with 3 people but have experienced irritation after each person.  I was told I have BV and usually if I take a bath with apple cider vinegar, the symptoms go away.  After the recent guy, I get pain in my groin before my period and sometimes I get little red bumps that resemble pimples on/near my butt. I went to the gyno and she almost made me feel stupid for thinking it was herpes and wouldn't do the blood test.  This visit is when I found out and was treated for my bv.  I'm in school and not seeing anybody so I've been busy and haven't thought much about my symptoms.  However, I had some free time and made an appointment.  I just saw the doc and she order blood work (i did this today) so I will find out.  My symptoms are mild at best if this is herpes. Really the diarrhea is the worst part as I am super active!

      Yeah that's weird. I actually after you posted this had another diarrhea episode and I think it's attributed to the antibiotics which I actually don't even need because I don't have anything that it's used to treat and it hasn't helped at all. So the only medication I'm on now is Valtrex and my birth control. I called my doctors office and told them I'm not going to finish the antibiotic. It states anyway if you get watery diarrhea that you should call the doctor immediately anyways which is kind of what I had. I'm also spotting, are you spotting?? I think it's from the sores or the inside I'm not sure. I always said I'd hate to have cold sores but at least they can see what's going on. I can't see on the inside of my vagina I just want it to heal I'm hoping the Valtrex will kick in. It has such good reviews online. 😕
