Kissing with herpes?

Hi guys, I'm currently waiting for my test result for herpes, I have about 20 sores on my genital area three days after having sex with my boyfriend. Now I remember that day, he said he feels some pain on the roof of his mouth and I remember he had possible cold sore/ just pimple on his lip twice during our 6 months relationship. He went to the doctor for the first time, the doctor said it's nothing and gave him some cream to put on, and the cold sore/ pimple went away in a day or two. Now, I'm thinking maybe he has oral herpes. I will ask him to go get a blood test.

I want to ask anyone with herpes, how do you guys kiss? I'm avoiding to kiss my boyfriend or share food or drinks with him before getting my result, which will not be ready in 2 weeks. I understand having sex may not be too essential in a relationship and we can always use protection to prevent transmission, but I cannot imagine not kissing my boyfriend forever, I'm so sad just to think of the idea of it:(

you can still kiss him if it is herpes you both probably have it so it wont make a difference just avoid kissing while having an outbreak

What if we both have hsv1 (mine in gential area, his in oral area), will I give him genital herpes when we have sex? Thank you for your reply.

If you both have HSV1 then chances of you giving it to him genitally are very very slim! He already has antibodies.

You can’t give someone more herpes then they already have.

I see. I'm crossing all my fingers, hoping it's HSV1.
