    Hi Julie,

I would try to get your dr to prescribe bio identical hrt. The kliofem is synthetic estrogen and synthetic progesterone. Probably why you gave had issues. Our bodies don't know how to process these synthetic hormones. Our body knows what to do with bio identical and puts them to use. We have receptor sites all over our bodies that these hormones go to and then get placed throughout our bodies where they are needed. Think about receptor sites as padlocks and the hormones your putting in ate the keys. The right key ( bio identicals) will open these padlocks. Our bodies know them and know exactly what to do with them. The wrong key ( synthetics) our bodies don't process well because they are made with foreign substances that our bodies reject and in turn make us feel worse. Good luck

Hi. I was on Kliofem for 9 months, as Elleste Duet 2mg tablets not available, and didn't feel right at all but never thought it might have been the Kliofem. I went to Newson Health private menopause clinic in Stratford upon Avon and they recommended I use oestrogen gel (as tablets not good for people with migraine with aura) plus a Utrogestan tablet each day. About 2-3 weeks after I started taking the gel and the Utrogestan, I started to feel like I did up to a year ago - much happier, more energetic, fewer headaches and after 2 months I'm not wondering if it because of a switch to the gel. My libido is returning as well (that disappeared about 8 years ago.) I came onto this forum to see if anyone else didn't get on with Kliofem. It seems that the oestrogen with the least potentially negative impact is in gel or patch form and few people should be on oestrogen tablets these days.
