Knee dislocation Months after

Posted , 5 users are following.

So I dislocated my patella 8 months ago and I developed a bump top left side of knee but not directly under the knee. I'm not concerned about it but want to know what it is as it causes no pain at all and just feels like cartilage as its like really bony. The bump is very unnoticeable and have not had an issue with it at all. Any advice will be appreciated

I wouldn't be too concerned if it isn't painful. It might be a cyst.

It's been shrinking over the last while as it was quite noticeable and it hurt like a bruise but hasn't for about 6 months so it's def nothing

It should be xrayed to be sure it not a bone spur or water on the knee.

Get it looked at before it's a issue. Not sure where your at but if it becomes a issue, you will be waiting to get into a specialist a long time. With holiday season around the corner. Had to see a urologist last November. Cause of the holidays and such took til June to get surgery I needed after testing. That sucked

I was told well the holidays, people on vacation, etc etc. Office I go to has 12 docs. Couldn't get in to see anyone. Lol. Then I had to wait for my doc to get back from watching the 100th running of the indy500 for my operation. Lol

Personally if it's an issue it would have happened months ago and I've been able to be physically active since then and the bump has been there but it's a lot smaller than it was and only when I bend my leg can I really feel it. I think it's a bone spur however which isn't very serious
