Knee giving way

please help I am in total pain and my my knee gives giving way. It is hot to touch and has pocket of water on the knee cap. I had a partial knee replacement nearly two years ago. I ve had an x ray but struggling with pain and worry waiting for results. Taking anti inflamotory sorry for spelling and resting it a bit. Ate these the symptoms of something being dislodged or coming loose. just so worried . The thought of going through this again makes me feel so stressed. thank you all help so grateful for.

    sorry to hear that you are having problem with your knee.

    Besides the pain you are in, At this point if your knee feels hot and you have fluid in your knee, could be getting infected you should go to the Emergency room. You can also call the Doctor on call and he/she might also recomend that you go to the ER.

      **Thank you I did go but they just x ray and waiting for results . So worried why its happening and that i may need to have the op ( partial knee replacement ) again.

    hello, sorry to hear of your plight. i asked for a partial knee replacement and was advised against it as eventually i would be back in for a TKR sooner or later. I read that a partial was less intrusive and the healing time was halved. I had a TKR 6 weeks ago and thankfully turned a corner. It does sound as if it has gone wrong and a TKR might be the only way forward with this....Hope its sorted soon ...good luck and keep us posted.....
