i am now 11months in and my knee still jerks forward although only occasionally. consultant seemed to think that was normal and never gave me an explanation as to why. My bend is good and no trouble cycling , swimming etc but after 4 hours of painting fences could hardly get upstairs to bed in the evening! i have osteoporosis in my other knee which makes going downstairs a bit challenging as feels so insecure. I do love my new knee but have been told i can only have the other one done if it considerably impairs my mobility as the NHS (England of course) cannot afford it. good luck getting back to work. it does require a lot of patience to get back to full mobility.
