Knee Pain

(Medical anxiety, I HATE YOU!!)

Has anyone had a bout with moderate to severe knee pain? Not much pain walking, but when I kneel down on my right knee, it feels like broken glass. Sore on both sides of knee cap. Ugh, this stuff can end any time now!!!

Wow! my elbows hurt at times and I don't know why. It seems like I have loss weight around my elbows and knees. I don’t understand this menopause craziness. I'm also light head almost every day. We just have to pray that these dang symptoms will leave. Prayers to everyone!

Oh Kelly, I have ankle pain as well, it’s been terrible this week ! I mean it feels like stingrays are zapping me ! I also have a terrible terrible time finding comfortable shoes, I literally have no shoes now that are comfortable and they are expensive very well-made brands 😦

Have you tried turmeric? I was taking it for a tendon tear in the spring but stopped because I thought I was taking too many different supplements.. But I think this one will help with inflammation and anxiety so I'm going to start up on this one again. Yes, to many good shoes but none are that comfortable.. UGH So I'm going to try an insole to see if that helps-- The Dr scanned my foot to make my own. I'm hoping this does the trick for comfort.

hey Kelly, I do have turmeric, to my knowledge Turmeric Has to be taken in conjunction with curcumin, but then I’ve been told turmeric and curcumin are the same thing, so I’m confused? it does help when I take it faithfully throughout the day. I was told I have severe arthritis in my feet, my mother did and so do my siblings. I was also told by Massage Therapist that I have plantar fibroids in my feet. They can be surgically removed but they can come back I guess. I may have the medical term wrong. Also I don’t think these can be found with a simple x-ray is what my foot doctor told me, I think a ultrasound has to be done. I mean I look at my shoes and I think to not have one pair of comfortable shoes, is this going to last the rest of my life? also funny we’re having this conversation because last night I dreamt that this deformed bone grew out of my left foot and was starting on my right, that’s what my mother had on her right foot... a terrible bone deformity grew after her 40s. It looked like literally a tennis ball was under her skin on the inside part of the ankle, down by the foot. It was terrible she had to have special shoes made the rest of her life and at one point her doctor said that she’d be better off with it amputated. Which that’s a horrible thing to do for something like that. She never had that done naturally, But to be told that is horrible. hope you have a good weekend !

Yes that's what I take Turmeric/curcumin with the black pepper in it.. I was told that the black pepper very is important.. I think it's better than that Glucosamine. Yes, never thought my feet would give me problems at 50. I've been rotating my shoes but curious to see what these insoles do.. We shall see.. WOW!! that is a terrible thing to say-- better off with it amputated!! I can't imagine..

did you have the insoles made at a podiatrist, those are expensive, please keep me posted how they work out, I hope they bring you relief 😃

hey Shannon, you don’t by chance have fibromyalgia do you, this sounds like one of the quintessential signs, to me, and I gave fibromyalgia. I cannot kneel without being on a pillow and I have not been able to for years. And how you say either side of the kneecap, do you mean the sides of your knee, literally, because that’s one of my biggest complaints with fibromyalgia ?

sheesh, who really knows? doctors frankly don't seem too interested to talk much about this....they just act like i am a whiner. last time i saw the doctor about my knee, her only answer was "not to touch it". sigh....

I think if we had a dollar for every time one of us felt like that about these doctors going through menopause, we have $1 million in the bank, you’re not alone. And to tell you not to touch it, is the silliest thing I’ve ever heard ! did they even x-ray to see if you had arthritis. my doctor didn’t even need to x-ray it, he felt it with his fingers and said I had arthritis. I fell hard on that knee years ago. it’s interesting how most women on this forum, their right knee is bothering them. I also know it’s very hard to find a good GP 😦

Super crazy!!! They tested for arthritis, blood test, I believe, and nada. I am fascinated that so much of my personal pain is right side almost completely. Arm pain and numbness, breast pain, knee, damn sciatica and on and on and on. And I am 3 years post. UGH, us poor girls, lol!!!
