Knee pain after fall

My friend recently fell off his skateboard while going quite fast. He hit his knees on the ground (which was tarmac) first and visually only had grazes. He know has developed pain at the lower part of his knee but no swelling has appeared and I was wondering what advice I could get on this.

    Hi James Wait a few day rest it and wear safety guards on knee head and arms

    For right now, rest and ice. Let v the swelling go down . if pain persists, x rays will probably be a start to check for bone damage. Examanations are a progressive sort of thing depending on the severity of the damage. Possibly the use of of an over the counter anti inflammatory drug would help with the immediate pain.

    And if those to 2 comments work, go get an x-ray, at the very least could have chipped a bone

    Thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated. We put some antiseptic and bandages on and the pain seems to now just be from the grazes and cuts, nothing serious. Will go to the doctors if needs be though smile
