Knee pain after hiking

I developed some kind of tendinitis in my right knee after a particularly brutal hike through the snow. It got marginally better after two days of rest but I tried another hike and it just brought me back to the drawing board. My plan now is to irritate and inflame the hell out of the tendon as much as physically possible which should create an inflammatory response that is more systemic than localized and heal it up faster. Any ideas on what I can do? Hiking is like a consistent dull pain. I need to really aggravate it

If it’s patellar tendonitis(slightly under ur kneecap and a b***h to get rid of)

use a slant board and put weight on the affected  knee with a slow squat and raise back up slowly on the good knee.

Start up slow !! 15 reps 2x3 times a week and go from there. U can utube it,

Tendon needs to relearn how to accept force, but slowly!!!

Wow. You're approach seems to be the equivalent of fighting a house fire by pouring gasoline on it. Go to a doctor. Get some anti-inflammatory meds and see if he can get you in to see a physical therapist who can give expert direction on how to correct the problem. Otherwise, give it some rest. Do lighter activities (i.e., easy hiking or street walking) until it gets better. Speaking from the vantage point of being in my 50s, if you overuse and abuse your joints bones and muscles now, you'll pay dearly later.
