Knee pain and weakness after wearing cam boot

I broke my distal fibula 11 weeks ago and was non weight bearing for 6 weeks and wore a cam boot for 9 weeks. I am now out of the boot and started PT. My heal is causing me quite a bit of discomfort to the point it is really hard to walk on it. Also my knee started hurting while wearing the boot and has continued now that I am out of the boot and it is very weak. Both of these issues make it hard to walk and I am walking with a hop/limp. Has anybody else suffered these two things? Did it get better over time?

sorry the ankle boot is a non-factor in my case. it actually made my ankel more painful i took it off . i broke one and tore the ligaments in the other. both ankles,at the same time. im mean who does that....

i know its a no-no but that boot caused so much more pain didnt fit right and made my ankle worse. once removed then I could ice my ankle and totally stayed off . only exercises indid was walking once healed. get a knee walker scooter with wheels for on leg. id rather have a cast than those miserable boots that do not fit properly.

in a few more weeks its helpful to walk on sand if beach near by. it slowly helps with flexibility and a lot less painful than PT. i hate PT they are not experiencing what we are and from treatment exercises all are not for everyone. stay away for awhile pt make me a lil crazy and make the pain worse. this is not their body its yours. if it hurts stop doing it tell pt you just not ready yet. it will all come in time.- key point you cant rush healing.

this is a very tricky part of healing it will get better soon.stay off it , keep it up and ice during most of the time . the swelling and surgery is a trauma to the whole body. if more pain meds are needed take them or ask for more. its necessary to stay comfortable for healing to take place , eat a good diet , rest and keep blood pressure down by keeping your spirits up . and a chocolate or fav snack doesnt hurt either...
