Knee problems docs say they can’t fix?

9 years ago when I was in jr high I started having knee pain. I went to therapy and braced my knee for a good three years. My freshman year of high school in 2015 my doc did a fat pad debredment and a lateral release. In 2017 I had pain again so a diffrent doctor (because I moved of for college ) gave me a cortizone shot (my 2nd). It helped for about two weeks. The pain is stedely getting worse. Fast foward to 2019. I had what a MRI done and my doc said there is a small cohndril fissure and tendonitis, also my tracking is good now. My fat pads scar tissue is causing some of the pain. My doc said not enough to constitute sugery. Which is fine. The pain is very limiting, I cant get any releif. Nor can I do the things a 20 year old should be able to do. Im open to any and all advice anyone can give. Thank you in advance!

Voltaren Gel (RX in the US, generic diclofenac elsewhere...check for interactions) is the best topical anti-inflammatory out there. You can use it 4X/day. That might help.
My son has had Osgood Schlatters disease in his knees since he was 15. Unfortunately, there is no good surgical fix...50/50 coin flip on it working. He lives in Denver so he's got his "special" medical card and can get his hands on some very good ointments and creams made from a natural plant that work much better than Voltaren. That's how he keeps it under control until someone invents a real cure.

There's also an FDA-Approved procedure called COOLIEF (Cooled Radiofrequency Ablation) where the docs (under anesthesia) temporarily halt the nerve pain in the affected area. Can last up to two years. Supposedly great for joint pain. Google their website and consult a certified doc in your area. They'll do an MRI to see if they can identify the exact nerves for the procedure. Might be worth looking into.

Just to update CBD has changed my life . It is legal here in Texas and has helped with the pain so much. I am not compleatly pain free but it has helped .
