Knee replacement after lateral release

Posted , 4 users are following.

hello again. I am 9 weeks post double knee replacement. last year i had arthroscopy with lateral release on my left knee. Last week I started having aching to sharp pain in the front outside of my left knee. I am wondering if this is due to the lateral release pulling on the new tracking pattern? Anyone hear if this before?

I have had that pain on the inner front side of my knee since day one!! They said it was normal in a lot of cases. My first tkr was in november of 18 and i did'nt have that issue really it was a breeze but this one here i gad July 6 of this year and these sharp stabbing pain is really painful they come and go like little labor pains!!I was told that around the 7th and 8th weeks i should start noticing a change for the better. I hope so, bordem is staring to set in and i really miss work, i went back with the first on after 4 months no problem i hope to do the same with this one! Hope you feel better soon!!

Hi what you're experiencing is normal. I'm 6 months past left tkr and excise of prepateller bursa in right knee. That knee was done 12 mints ago. Both are fine now a little discomfort but compared to the pain before the op can live with that. Early days it'll be worth it good luck.
