I had Knee Arthroscopy in Jan 15, when I awoke I had Chronic pain in my thigh they advised it was due to the Tourquet, had meds for it and it eased of I was discharged an hour or so later as soon as I could walk on crutches. A few days later I awoke to a burning sensation at the side of my thigh. Ended up in AE and they advised I have Meralgia Paresthetica it is very rare but can happen. I have currently going through pain clinic and am on 300 Lyrica and 60 Duloxetine a day, have also being using Capiscan cream nothing works and my pain management is down to calls had MRI's and Nerve testing nothing showing but they know something is wrong due to I can't stand being touched it burns after the easiest tasks etc. I am at my wits end does anyone have any other ideas as I really dont want to be on tablets for ever and a day

I am so sorry for you...it seems no one knows anything about these things.

even if they do find a cause, there is still no solution ....it's not good

    how old are you?

do a web search of "Meralgia Paresthetica Treatment & Management". I can't post the link but this should be helpful. key to getting better is perseverance

I suggest you google "post-op inflammatory neuropothy"......might provide an alternative explanation of your symtoms?
