Knee Tightness

Hello All

I am nearly five weeks post op but last Thursday I woke up and my knee was the tightest it has ever been and is still like it; it feels horrendous and stops me from bending and is just not getting any easier. It feels like someone has bound my knee with rubber bands.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Thank you, Tracey

Not much satisfaction to know you are going through what the rest of us have experienced, it still hurts like sin and through the tears the future looks dreary BUT, every day like this is one day closer to being pain free. Keep up with the pain meds on schedule, keep moving the leg as best you are able and ice. As many have said.....pain meds an hour before you get involved in therapy. Try and find some way of relaxing even if it's on for a few minutes. Music, reading, prayer, sip a glass of wine anything to get your mind off your pain. Hang in there, you are in the middle of a battle where you can't retreat........just go forward know you have legions of company. Keep talking to us and we'll keep encouraging.

      Hi Oldfatguy

Thanks for the advice and comforting words - it is indeed a battle butvonecwill we all win one way or another - am feeling more upbeat as had along sleep due to new meds and unsuccessful crushing feeling has lessened.

      Thanks again, Tracey

I can only reiterate Oldfatguy's very wise words. Hope you feel a bit better today, Tracey. Things will improve but very slowly.
