Ice your knee Akeem anyi flames and eat a clean diet. Rest your knee. Also injections may help . Wear and tear arthritis is usually osteoarthritis

Ask for a xray could be a torn meniscus.

therapy has helped mine. Ask for therapy at first and injections for the pain.

    take care

RA caan manifest with nodules under the skin that come and go.  Sounds like your RA doc thinks it's osteo, but regardless, there is more than pain meds to help you and sounds like they were in a hurry to get you out of there.  Even a gp should follow up with an x-ray.  Can you shop around for a more caring and thorough doctor?  I certainly wouldn't waste my time with them

Nodules can also be other things. Dupurytrens contracture have nodes on hands not ALWAYS RA.

Also little cysts from bumping knuckles or toes can be another type of nodule.
