Knock knee after TKR.

HI

nothing seems to have gone right since my TkR in May. I have struggled to gain bend ( still only getting a max of 90) and despite regular physio and daily workouts nothing seens to get better. This weekend, enbolden by a few glasses of something sparkling, I danced my heart out at a family wedding. I have now noticed that i cant put my feet together and have "KNOCK KNEES". I have also been told that with all the work on my operated leg, my 'good' leg is now damaged!!

Can anyone throw some hope my way?? Im really not ready for another TkR!!!'

My first TKR was 11 years ago and at that time my knee was straightened and that leg was no longer knocked knee. i had my second TKR last November and my knee cap popped back to the side causing multiple problems including not being able to do leg raises and chipping the knee cap. The surgeon ordered a knee brace that i wore for 12 weeks ans still no improvement said i needed more surgery. Not confident in his ability to correct this i asked for another surgeon with expertise in my problem.

My new surgeon from my Xrays was shocked at how well i could walk and still exercise. My xray showed the knee was crooked...knock kneed..it had not been straighted during my original surgery. i now have to have revision surgery and the old taken out and a new TKR.it sounds like your surgeon didnt straighten your knee when they did your TKR. Worth looking into.

I also feel like my knees are knock kneed now, despite never being knocked kneed before. But, I also feel that this will pass as my knees get better as right now they seem to be swollen on the inside of my knees which I think contributes to this knock kneed concern. My knee swelling has gone down about a half inch from my surgery 10 months ago, and I expect that will continue to decrease.

    Maybe you overdid the dancing.

I would take things steady for a bit.
