It depends what your readings are. After 6 years of experimenting, I think the acetyl l carnitine gets your TSH up. I took 1000 a day and it came up. my problem is getting it to remain there. I think thats when to slowly decrease the acetyl and move over to half l carnitene and half acetyl l carntitine. Then eventually just l carnitine, It all really does have to be done very slowly though. Are you on carbimazol? I'm now trying to remain on a little higher maintenance dose than I ever have and my T4 and T3 are sitting a bit off the lower end. feeling good on it so happy with these numbers. Linda
