Dear Elaine - so sorry. So, I'm not one who takes steroids, but until someone show sup here to speak further. I do know that some women have mentioned that they can't take the steroid because it makes them feel worse. Also apparently it's gotta be applied in tiny tiny tiny amount.

For teh burning (which the steroid was supposed to stop instead of make worse) many of us are using a combinations of things, IF your burning is coming from urine on raw skin, the best barrier ointment is something like Desitin or A&D baby's protection.  Otherwise for moisturizing, I love Aloe Vera Gelly; Olive Oil, Coconut Oil (be sure it is the organic pure stuff). vitamin E, and or Castor oil. wipe youself down, or spray yourself with baking soda water to get any pee cleared off and to set up a better pH balance.    blessings,

Elaine, I understand the frustration as I also had numerous UTI’s on the onset of LS diagnosis. Please know that repeated UTI’s may be a sign of something else going on, so it is best to seek the advice of a specialist. I saw a urologist who checked my bladder thoroughly first. ( It is not so bad— just a simple office procedure.) Then I followed up with drinking plenty of water daily, using scent free, simple soap . Also, absolutely no sex unless your partner is squeaky clean down under, lol. It has worked for me! I am now 10 months free of UTI’s smile . As for the burning irritation from the UTI, it will subside with soft patting instead of wiping and using simple diaper rash products. Good luck to you and know you are not alone!

Hi, cranberry capsules once a day worked for me for the UTI infections.

I used Emuaid and it really helped with pain and itching. When I was healing from biopsy sites and sores I used a moisture barrier ointnent with Vit A, D and E, helped with burning pain when peeing.

Avoiding Wheat and sugar will also help-
