All MSK has done is focus on my hips and not bothered looking into my back wrist or knees i said i wonted the other areaers looking into becuase i dont belevie it is fibro as i have a faimly history of problems with my grandad and his hips/legs my brother and his knee problems my mum who has all the same problems as me only differance is hers got so bad so fast her ball joint in her hip had detreated so bad there was nothing left so she had to have a hip op at 42 . All i ever seem to get is my age brought into it surly my ages shouldnt matter when there are medical problems? i guess what im asking here is is there anything i can do or anyone i can ask to see to achely get somewhere to atlest get a proper dianogies to whats wrong with me as im fed up of groing round in curcles and to now be told not to use my aids OT have given me to help with my day to day life .

Hi Toni, It sounds like you're really going through the mill!?
i have numerous problems with joints, muscles , bone pains . i was diagnosed 2 yrs ago with fibromyalgia and I too feel something else is going on?
keep a diary of what you're doing and when your pain is worse?
Do the meds help at all???
i am on gabapentin, slow release morphine as other pain meds didn't do anything so recently changed to morphine and also the liquid morphine(oramorph) for break through pain but nothing is helping. Stiffness of joints swelling of finger joints, calfs, ankles swell.
By keeping an accurate diary of all the feelings, pain, when you've exercised etc if you're able to? i can only go for short walks other exercises wipe me out.
Don't give up and if all else fails with the consultant request a 2nd opinion???
Hope this helps
kind regards
Catherine
P.S out of interest how old are you?

ive had fibro since i was 26. im sure of it. but, i didn't get diagnosed until i was 37. When i was diagnosed and had to take days off. People at work would ask me if i enjoyed my vacation. Because no one really believed it was a thing. It debilitates me more and more every year as i get older. i also noticed as i could do less and less psychically . Im gaining more weight and that weight has killed my hips. One hip i slipped on the ice years ago. Hope this helps . Many people with fibro -- also called fibromyalgia syndrome or FMS -- may have:
Pain and tender points
Fatigue
Sleep problems
Concentration and memory problems, known as "fibro fog"
Anxiety or depression
Morning stiffness
Numbness, and tingling in hands, arms, feet, and legs
Headaches
Irritable bowel syndrome
Problems with peeing
Painful menstrual cramps
