Labia Shrinkage

Posted , 11 users are following.

it seems that quite quickly my labia Minora is shrinking away. Towards the vagina it seems to be fused   Does the Clob help unfuse?  Will the shrinking stop or slow down. Can it somehow be reversed.  Also I am especially sore and itchy around the anus. Very lumpy in that area and I don't know if it is the LS or could it be hemorrhoids?  Is it something to be worried about.  Should I be going to the gynocologist again?  They don't really seem to help does anyone ever feel normal such as not being sore or itchy for any amount of time

Hi Sue, I got more help from a dermatologist as the gynae I saw did not find anything.

I have a lot of shrinkage but luckily no real fusing, it is hard to tell really as I had not looked down there for years prior to this problem.

I find the Dermovate helps when I am sore. My main area is the perinium and anus area but I have been told I have heameroids which is good news really as it means I can use other creams there and not worry that the LS is spreading.

my conclusion is that the shrinkage has a lot to do with age, in my case anyway, I'm in my 70s but if I feel dry or that things are trying to stick I use coconut oil which for me has helped as I feel I have got control after using it for about 6 months.

Best of luck with this miserable condition.

    Hi Sue,

when end you say fast, how fast do you mean? I get confused with this bit. One of my labia has either shrunk back into the outer labia or you can say fused, there is a seam but nothing there. The other side the dermatologist told me was small. But I don't know what's normal so hard to tell!

My understanding is that LS can form into a figure of 8 around the vulva, perrenium and anus so it could be LS. Best to have it checked out to see if haemorrhoids or LS. I am aware I have two skin take and a haemorrhoid but they don't give me too many problems at the minute so the doctors are currently ignoring them. i do occasionally apply Dermavate to the anus area, although so far my itch is not too bad in this area.

Hope you get some answers soon...

My labia minora had just about disappeared but after 3 months on clob it is pretty much back to normal.  Good luck to you for the same!

      Hi Linda,

This is encouraging news!  Do you recall approx how long it took before you began to see your minora coming back?  I am hoping mine will.

I noticed improvement within a month.  By 3 months it was very noticeable improvement.  Just went back for checkup 9 months after clob started and my doctor was surprised at how much better it was.  Anatomically, almost normal.  I am still more sensitive than I used to be but no itch at all.  I do believe diet makes a difference as well.  I cut back on sugar and fruit (was eating a lot of it) and I think that helped.  Good luck to you.

Sue, look into diet, dilation and baking soda treatment on this site.

Hi Sue, I believe with LS that if you are always feeling, sore/itchy/terrible down below then you have to look more closely at your diet...namely sugar!  Like many on this site, I feel like I have LS (kind of) under control.  I do not experience the symptom I have mentioned above, unless I have over indulged and have a flare up.  But, I think for many women they are constantly flaring, and this is mainly because they continue to eat lots of high sugar products.   I am not talking specifically about you; I am talking in general.  With LS you have to be careful with food, its that simple.  Often it is worth keeping a food diary for a month,  to write everything down, as most people have no clue as to how much sugar they are consuming throughout the day..something to think about.  With regard to your labia minora shrinking away, mine has too, I think this happens to many women with LS, and there is not much to be done, and I think it does stop at some point.  However, the fusing is another matter, and needs to be watched carefully, I have found to avoid further fusing I always to use an oil like emu oil or something similar before I get into bed, and throughout the day I use it as well...but not if I have sores or cuts down there.  I think it is rare for the fusing to reverse, although some women have experienced that, and so the key is to make sure you dont fuse any more by being vigilant with oils. The lumpiness you describe near the anus sounds like classic LS, with lumps and red bumps often around that area, and so I would use a baby bottom cream for that area rather that the clob.
