Hi,I have uncompensated labythrinitis, and the only thing I was told was that I have to get on with it!! It's unbelievable how the doctors just leave us.Can I ask you if you have anxiety aswell? Ii m having a bad day, tight head my eyes can t focus so well, balance all over the place.the only thing I can advise is to try and little day to day jobs.try not to avoid bending down or turning your head.My doctor told me it's something to do with the signals from your brain to your ears have got messed up x

Good news about the MRI scan Paulette or is it? I remember when I had my MRI results back, my wife was a bit miffed why I wasn’t overly pleased about getting the all clear. I actually wanted them to find something so the surgeon could dive in there and whip it out and then I could live happily ever after. When they find nothing, that’s worse isn’t it?

What you are left with is the aftermath of an infection or virus. That bad boy has been, done it’s damage and has gone. Get your eyes tested by all means but I expect they will be fine, I expect the optician will squeeze out prescription change (New glasses, means cash in their till..I’m and old cynic aren't I...lol?). Since you’ve got labs (or me VN), your eyes have been working very hard to compensate for your ears shortcomings, but our eyes tend to “over” compensate which seems to exasperate things.

I'm feeling vile myself today, I went to the cinema last night, I knew it would make me ill, but what can I do. The pattern in the carpet, the massive screen, the stair lights, it all sets me off. Visual overload, my eyes are doing all the work and nothing else is helping. Today I am walking around like I’ve just got off a boat and I have the yukky motion sickness feeling.

I think they suggest VRT because they don’t know what else to suggest, who knows...I don’t know.

Anyhow, I know how you feel, put your feet up and get some rest. What’s been helping me recently is early nights. I’ve noticed that if I’m in bed for 10.30pm I tend to feel much better the next day but if I have late night like I did last night, then I feel so much worse.

    All the best !

I could have written that post myself.

i wish they would do more research into this condition, because I get the same answers(which are not really answers) about this.from my doctors.I really think they do not know enough about this.

The bottom line,is that I have had dizzyness for almost two years, and it is SO debilitating.Went to a wonderful firework display this. evening, but I am suffering from it now.Get too scared to go out sometimes.

Hope we ALL feel better soon and go back to enjoying our lives.
