Labyrinthectomy long term side effects

Posted , 2 users are following.

I've had a successful labyrinthecotomy 8 years ago. After the initial few months of tough recovery I got a new lease on life and have been doing great. Occasionally my brain needs additional rest as I feel like it's on overload. I then get a swishy feeling coming from the surgery side, but this goes away after laying down , eyes closed, no impulses.

Unfortunately it seems not to go away this time. Despite taking additional rest, these "pulses" (hard to explain) keep coming every few minutes, and though they seem less today and I am hoping it will go away, I am wondering if anyone can relate to this. It is not vertigo, but it does feel balance related..
