I went to ent consultant , done the eppley , sent me spinning both sides , so she sure it bppv , wants me to have a scan , which she's putting through urgent as I been like this for months , also other test , she said she could tell I was in serious trouble with this , but sure it's not sinister , after test done , she's going to give me vestibular therapy , did say I may need help with anxiety side as it so frightening , I was just so pleased , it wasn't brushed aside and I'm not left stranded , got to ring her tomorrow to make sure about appointments , as I saw her in a local hospital and she worried they wont send the paper work through to are main hospital in bath , any way merry christmas ,to you all x

My goodness you seem to be grossly over medicated . I have Prochlorperazine

which works like magic. I take just one or two tabs and that's it .no daily dosage.

once the dizzies have gone ,,that's the worst bit ,

Didn't you ask why so many drugs for the problem ?? and how long do you have

    to take them, ??

The doctor said that he was giving me all the medication because my symptoms showed my inner ears were really infected. It is truly a lot of medication but i want to be done with all of this. I just pray it doesnt come back, people just dont understand hiw horrible and scary all of this is. I am not one to be laying in bed when i am not feeling well but these symptoms kicked my butt.

Must confess Iv'e never had it sooooooo bad .Since It first started ,a few years ago, i had the swimmy head ,which was a bit of a sod whenever I

moved my head ,or walk, so my G P did the ""Moving finger "" bit and he said it was Labrynthitis, a new word, and another problem to add to my  list of   'orribles .but now I always have a packet of the tabs on

hand, so I can squash it before it sets in. Nausea is usually the

early warning ,so I take a tab and lie down for an hour or so. or until

I stop feeling drunk, it is not a pleasant feeling, and yours sounds

      a lot worse .

Where do all these bugs come from .and how do they get inside our

      ears, ???

Really hope you get good soon, or you will have a miserable

      Xmas.

According to my specialist, mine got bad from a severe sinus infection that wasn' . Treated properly. The doctor did a lot of testing while i was there and said i should feel better in a couple of days. I do get really bad cold sore when i have a cold and he said that is when i need to take care of by going to the dictor right away to prevent this from happening again.

      I hope you feel better

      Merry Christmas

Just a bit  surprised he said your ears were 'infected' because to me that suggests bacteria, but the meds he's got you on aren't anti bacterial (Eg antibiotics)! They anti viral. (And the steroid anti I inflammatory f,course ) , and viruses tend b on the whole body, not just one part, hence the reason to try and fight off the virus. Oh well, whatever works I guess!!

Actually he,s not far off.  The first two are anti viral medicines , and the Lysin  is something I have started taking personally myself.  Not sure what the last one is, probably  a steroid?  I would like,to,believe e it does go away as Debbie says but I can't believe  that now after 5 Years mate!

Yes the last one is a steroid. The Lysin I haven't taken it yet because taking the other two is a lot.

One i have to take 5 times a day and the steroid for today I have to take 6.

He gave me refills on all medication he said just in case it comes back. sad
