Labyrinthitis

I was rushed into hospital 6 weeks ago as i had a very bad attack of labyrinthitis which my GP thought could be a stroke . luckily that was ruled out and i was sent home with a diagnosis of Acute Vestibular syndrome . for the first few days i couldn't eat/ stand up without being sick or falling down . 6 weeks later i am so much better and my balance is nearly back . I am still getting waves of dizzy spells light headedness etc which can last a few hours and then ware off .

Is there anyone out there who can tell me how long i can expect this to go on - Does it just fade away with fewer episodes and is there anything i can do to help it go more quickly ?? I have been told this can last a good few months !!!

Any advice from anyone whose getting over it would be great to have !!
