Lack of Information for people with anxiety!

people with anxiety and mental illnesses are suffering because we simply don’t know if our symptoms are because of our illness or the virus! I have been having shortness of breath for the past three days now with chest pressure, however my anxiety has been skyhigh for the past three days now. it sucks that they don’t acknowledge what we are going through

I'm in your situation. Had fever 3 weeks ago and been extremely anxious ever since. Lots of sleepless nights in the past 2 weeks which is making me feel extremely fatigued with no energy for anything. Past 2-3 days I've been feeling short of breath as well and now I'm totally obsessed with my breathing.
GP tells me it's all in my head, but I don't quality for a test before I don't meet the criteria.
These days you MUST have a fever >38C and at least a cough or shortness of breath to get tested. Even then you still might not get tested.
Just a terrible situation we are in now with all the uncertainty. Normally a GP would not hesitate to see you with symptoms like this. Now they are actively AVOIDING people with all such symptoms.

But also did you have a fever and /or a cough? If it's only shortness of breath then it's unlikely.

If it helps at all, consider the following:
Recovery for the common cold/flu and the Coronavirus are the same, stay home and rest. What you have doesn't make a difference to the method of treatment of recovery.
The doctor will allow you into a hospital if your symptoms become really bad, and you will treated.
