Hi. I started on 30mg of duloxetine (cymbalta) about 3 weeks ago. I was prescribed it for severe lower back pain. And mood swings. I was previously on sertraline. But I was getting severe sweats. Constant yawning fits. And feeling hyper. Anyway since being on duloxetine. My sex drive has gone. I have also been having light bleeding for 3 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this. Drs said its a coincidence. But iv never ever had bleeding for more than 5 days. I have stopped taking it for 2 days now. Im feeling very tired. My back pain is coming back. And im snappy with everyone. sad

    Hi

I had same problem with sex drive. Don't have periods anymore so no issue there. Cymbalta can make me a bit tired butnI take it at night so it doesn't affect me too much. Hang in there.

You don't want to just stop Duloxetin. I made mistake of doing that,60mg for 6wks, an suffered for it. Severe head pain, dizziness, nausea, brain zaps. All over feeling lousy. Bad mood, crying. For couple of wks. But it did help with fibromyalgia an back pain. But I donf think I gave it long enough for mental help. I went into menopause in Aug of 14 so I dong have a period anymore. On Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. How old are you? How long had you taken Duloxetin? How long space between stopping Sertraline an started Duloxetin? Anytime you switch drugs or mg's your gonna have side effects for awhile. I'v recently stopped Prozac(feb 20th) so not on anything rt now. It's just a guessing game I guess!

My Dr switched me from Zoloft 100mg to 60mg duloxetine because the zoloft was making me clinch my teeth and was not completely stopping my mood swings. The Duloxetine that i have been on for only 15 days is making me feel spacy, still clinching my teeth, sleepiness, and yes loss of sex drive. I was just discussing this with my Husband yesterday.
