Ladies- Pelvic Bloating and IBS?

Hi Ladies-
I have been having some bothersome symptoms. I have had IBS for years and admittedly it has changed drastically over the last couple of years. There is always a plethora of new symptoms every few months that makes me worry until I can get it checked out. About 6 months ago, I started having pelvic bloating that has never really gone away. In fact, it seems to have gotten a bit worse. Two to three months ago, my GERD started getting out of control with belching, gas, and abdominal bloating. The last few days has been really uncomfortable with the bloating and discomfort in both abdominal and pelvic area (mostly both on the left side). I've been taking licorice root and peppermint, and Prilosec for at least a few weeks. The Prilosec has helped some, but not much. I feel less bloated after a BM, but it's still always there. It's that feeling you get when your pelvis feels like it's jutting out when you're standing up and it hurts the small of your back. I had a pelvic ultrasound in September that showed a small cyst on my right ovary, but nothing else. Just had another one today. How many of you ladies out there have had symptoms in your pelvis that ended of being IBS?

hi charcey, firstly can i say poor you, that sounds painful. ibs shifts around, for females hormones causes changes in ibs symptoms, especially each month if you understand me. ovulation and time of the month flare everything! you can take pain killers for ibs pain and for bloating buscopan is the doctor's favourite go to drug. having a cyst won't help, check out if they can remove that for you because you might get s bit more comfort if it is gone. speak to your doctor then your chemist. it's hard at the moment as there are no doctors appointments but if you're in agony i don't think they would see you in pain, oh and good luck.

everytime around ovulation i always get these issues, my bloating is so bad where i cant breath right and then my acid reflux flares up very bad, i would get these irritating feeling in my pelvis, i would loose weight and i would feel overall unwell, i have had many blood test done and only immflamation was found which my dr said that could be anything from my period, stomach virus etc but overall my blood work looks good he says, theres other time where i get blood work done and it comes back normally, the reason why i would say its ibs with gastric or gerd for me because i would get constipation where i pooped pebbles or sometimes i poop very little or diarrhea, i would get gassy, bloated and i burp alot, as far as the gastric goes i would get a burning feeling all over and breathing issues, i would feel the reflux creeping up amd when i lay down it slowly goes away or ill burp, this is such a stressful situation and ever since the coronavirus outbreak its been getting bad

hi charcey, the coronavirus is getting to everyone i think! it's really scary now. i know sort of how you feel at the age i am any ovulation is a bonus, as i almost 47, but i know when i ovulate and judging by last week this is not the menopause, if you catch my meaning? i am leading up to ovulation and i can tell because my bust feels like it's going to explode and my ibs does somersaults too, my bowel goes in to spasm and everything under my belly button hurts. it's being female that does this, the plight of being a woman with ibd, keep your food bland, loads of liquid and don't say i told you this but if you don't have a partner make yourself 'come', the pain goes away! it's true and it works, you have to try it, i swear it's true. good luck to you.

LOL. If anything, this gave me quite the laugh. It’s always so challenging navigating technology sometimes. I’m glad I’m not the only one to make those mistakes. I do appreciate the advice, though. Its worth a shot and definitely not a bad outcome anyway! Ha!
Thanks guys. I appreciate the support.

the laughter may be the best thing, i have visual dyslexia, that's my excuse (no it's true) and that's it. i think try anything you can - something will work for you and you'll be ok. good luck. x
