Lanacaine's Active Ingredients- See Rescorcinol!

I just googled the two active ingredients in Lanacaine: benzocaine and rescorcinol. Interestingly, benzocaine is a "numbing agent" and is also found in products like Oragel (although I assume this is a consumable version of the product) which is used to numb toothaches and gum issues. Rescorcinol is a product used to treat dry, crusty skin caused by eczemza, psoriasis, dermatitis, etc. Lanacaine is a topical product and NOT meant to be put IN the eyes. I am having success with this product used on my eyelids only and under the eye just below the lash line where the skin is red and itchy. I have not consulted a doctor about using this product near my eyes, but it is helping me cope with the symptoms. I use very, very lttle and apply it and rub it in with a cue-tip swab at night and in the morning. If my eyes get itchy during the day, I may wash my eyes use a little more. I use Systane Drops 3X per day before I put on the Lanacaine as I don't want the cream to get into my eyes. My eyes are dry too! Through the web, you can google these active ingredients for yourself and decide whether you want to try this cream or not. The contraindications are listed there too. Again, NOT FOR IN THE EYE!!
As with all the products being mentioned, the Wet Ones, Blephclean wipes, Lotemax, Hyloforte, Optrex, etc., I think we should google the ingredients in these and see if there is a trend in the ingredients that are working for us. Maybe we can narrow down what the(se) ingredient(s) is/are, especially for those in other countries who don't have access to these brands.
Just a suggestion!
