Laparoscopy after bowel resection results.

Posted , 5 users are following.

Hi everyone. Those that have followed me will know i had a laparoscopy for problems after bowel resection , iliostomy and reversal. My surgeon found my appendix was stuck to my old surgical site and adhesions were around my ovary and adhesions under old surgery site. All fixed now. I'm recovering well. I had bladder issues, and the surgeon couldn't tell me if that would resolve, but so far they have.

Wow! You have been through a-lot! I'm very happy to hear they corrected it and you are doing much better. I pray for a total and complete healing with never any issues at all ever again for you! May I ask what age you had this done? I'm 62 thinking I'm just too old for the surgery.

Thank you for your kind comments. I'm 64. I really had no choice about the original surgery, ( i was 63 then) because of the nasty abscess, it really was a mess in there. These other things are just because i have been unlucky i think. I'm hopeful it will be fixed now, but adhesions are always lurking. I have had other pelvic surgeries and that doesn't help. I am always here for advice if you do have it done. I actually came through my surgeries very well, and coped with the bag. Most people do. Thanks again for the support.
