Anyone know how long the stomache pain will last its uncomfortable to lay in any position in bed exept on my back but now thats getting uncomfortable and what about coughing that hurts bad too. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

Hi!
I am glad that you are back at home now.
I would guess it's because you in bed and can't do much. I had that feeling when I had both of my feet operated on at the same time as I couldn't do anything apart from being in bed.
I just need some help and advice ... so I been told i have about a 10cm cyst on right side. The symptoms of it like pain ect come and go is this normal??

I'm one day post laparoscopy myself so can't give you a definitive recovery timeline, however I can say from reading lots of posts on here everyone is different. So far I'm finding that a good sleep makes a big difference- I had an excellent afternoon nap before leaving hospital andnow my head is almost completley clear. I also don't have any fatigue atm. In terms of stomach pain, I've taken all the medication I've been given and I can say for certain that getting up and walking about does make things easier and less painful. If I've been sitting for a while I'll start off stooped in pain but then find I am able to get upright, helped by holding my knickers and trousers so they aren't touching my affected bits when I walk.

Thank you. The discomfort is minimal now thankfully, I no longer feel like I'm being stretched when I move. However now the fatigue has hit- I think from the combination of medication I've had so I'm cutting back to just paracetamol now.
In terms of the pain pre surgery, everyones experience is different. Personally I had the occasional burst of pain first which would go away for a few days before it came back permanently (well until I had the op).

I'm glad your feeling better. And hope you recovery well!
I just don't understand with my symptoms - I still getting really bloated and look like I'm pregnant and pain when i wee sometimes and some right sided pain but nothing compaired to what I was in two weeks ago when they beleive it twisted and two weeks ago was when they found it- I didn't know before then. But they believe it untwisted as my pain levels went down.
I am just worried about it.
I have had all bloods including tumor markers all back normal and my utrla sound found ---
-looks like simple cyst
-doesn't seem to have lumps or bumps
-it's round
-doesn't seem to have blood supply
Which I know all the above are really good. I had ct scan last week and seeing specialist on 30th to plan what happens next in terms of how they operate.
