Large complex cyst please help

First felt pain in my hip last October - went to A&E but it disappeared as quickly as it appeared.  I was then taken t hospital in an ambulance about a month and a half ago.  Needed morphine etc. to stop the pain.  Was discharged from the g.ward and told it was ovulation pain.  Went to GP straight away and she sent me for an ultrasound.  Turns out there's a large complex cyst on my left ovary.  So I have been living a nightmare since that report was returned to the dr. as I was referred to the hospital on the special 2 week referral system (if they suspect you have you know what).  I've had first appointment with junior dr. who told me they couldn't rule out something sinister and so went for blood test.  I have to wait two weeks for the results (this Friday).

I have had randio thick dark hairs on neck and chin and terrible skin - red, bumpy etc.

Worst thing is while waiting for blood results I've had shooting pains all over but especially in left breast and achey armpits.  I am so so scared.

Why have suddenly started getting armpit pain?  Do I wait until Friday to see consultant or do something before?  I feel hopeless.

First off what sort of age are you and second few ovarian cysts do in fact turn out to be cancerous. They thought mine could be, my blood test showed it could be, but these tests are highly innacurate, showing false positives/negatives all over the place, they merely guide a surgeon on the best way to operate should that be necessary. It was all ok for me in the end and neither cyst was found to be cancerous

    Hi Lucy.

Just to give you some reassurance, I had pain in my sides all round my abdomen and back you name it! So it's all related to the cyst.

It's amazing how one thing can cause so much pain in the body.

But when I had my operation, I was so relieved!

I had the op at 19 years of age!

Scared the living day lights out of me!

But I was happy to not have that pain afterwards!

There's no comparison with the before and after!

I'm sure you will be fine.

Let me know how it all goes god bless you 🐥🌺

This might not help but i was in the same boat as you and it took a year until they operated. That's 4th op to remove cysts..i've just had my overy taken now as it's the last thing they can do. Mine was Complex cysts aswell. There just isn't the staff and resources to do what they need to do anymore within an appropriate time scale. You have to be prepared to wait a while. Have you looked up symptoms for large cysts..it's normal to feel ill, fatigue, constant bloating etc. I'd look into the operations and what you want hun. It does play with your mind a little, i totally understand and had a boob scare this year too. Go to your GP for a boob check if you're not sure, thats what i did asap. They will hopefully try and calm you with some information. It's very common and you will be ok my lovely xxx

hi lucy , i was told, i had a 2cm ovarian cyst about a month ago and last week started getting a really sore left boob, and aching under my left arm pit,  which disappeared after a few days , but no pain or discomfort from the cyst , so it sounds like its all connected.

Many nerves pass through this area and cysts can press on any or several of them generating random pains.
