Large protruding umbilical hernia

Are there any daily routines/exercises to slowly push umbilical hernia back in? It's really rather hard, when I squeeze it. So, perhaps I should start a liquid type diet, so that the out-testine gets soft and large (1 1/2 X the size of a tennis ball) enough to maneuver it back through the abdominal wall. Any help would be appreciated.
