Larrys Gone

Dont procrastinate seeking Hemorrhoid treatment. Larry was the name of the massive external Thrombosed Hemorrhoid that was surgically removed 14 days ago after I was admitted to the Hospital from the emergency room. Larry was the largest Hemorrhoid ever seen by the surgeon of 48 years in practice. The nightmare that was Larry Started years before as an internal Hemorrhoid that began to protrude during bowl movements for a period of time it would go back on its own after each movement then over time it required manual retraction. like an idiot i lived with this for years for fear of the horror storys and witnessing my father (the toughest man ive ever know howel in agonizing pain when i was 10 from his hemorrhoidectomy).

So 20 Days ago Larry decided he was staying out for good. and started to fill with clotts. By Wednesday of that week he had grown to the size of a half a bratwurst and i was in agony so i went to the first emergency room. There a young Nurse Practitioner attempted to drain it but was unsuccessful. the events of that night are a story of its own ill just say i pulled out my IV and walked out of the build baffled by the incompetence. The following day i just layed around in pain calling and trying to get in with a specialist. The following day (Friday) im at my second emergency room for a second attempt at draining by a much more qualified team of medical professionals, but this again was unsuccessful. I was given pain killers and sent home to wait out the natural reduction. By Sunday double the dose of pain killers wasn't even taking the edge off, so I went to the third emergency room and when they saw the state i was in they admitted me to the hospital and started a morphine drip. That night around 11pm a very well respected surgeon with 48 years experience inspected and desided i would need emergency surgery. unfortunately, because of staff shortages and more critical surgical demands I was continually bumped and finally made it into the operating room at 1am Wednesday morning (yeah... no food two days in a row waiting) I woke up at 8 am Wednesday morning a new man with 21 stitches , or so i thought. I told the nurse to take me off the morphine and asked her what exactly i had to accomplish to get discharged and she gave me the criteria to which i accomplish by 11am. i saw the Surgeon at 11:30 and was already dressed in my street cloths and he discharged me at 11:45. I got home and felt good until Friday morning when i had what can only be described as the bowel movement from hell, which was the size of a Mayer Lemon. this tore open the top layer of stitches and began my 14 days of hell. I should have taken mylax powder twice a day starting the day before surgery but wasn't told to or didn't hear those instructions. Note 1: start a softner supplement prior to surgery....more to come as i now wait for what only can be described as this bristled caterpillar of useless stitches dissolve.....more to comeimage
