Laryngopharyngeal reflux and laryngospasm

i woke last night gasping for breath. it only lasts for a minute but its terrifying. after all i could taste was blood my spit was very very pale pink. im hoping it wasnt blood and was acid. it only lasted for 10mins after the cant breath incident. i had to go for bloods today (im assuming to rule out the worst i didnt want to ask). he thinks im heading more towards LPR as i dont have heartburn or indigestion. the not breathing incidents sound like laryngospasm. luckily not dangerous bit horrendous when it happens. ive been up since 1.30am as i was too scared to go back to sleep. does anyone else have this? im so scared and very very alone. i do suffer with panic disorder and fear of suddenly dying. it happened to my mum when i was 19 and my biggest fear is putting my children through the same. praying my bloods come back clear.

Hi i have been suffering with LPR. I get a blocked nose and scratchy throat.

Did you get your results back?

yes my bloods came back fine. what that rules out i have no idea. my x-ray results should be back later this week. i stopped taking the tablets i was prescribed as they were making me feel dizzy and sleepy and that's useless when i have to drive a lot and am a single mum to 3.

since that last terrifying episode of spasms ive slept basically upright on four pillows and taken a over the counter zantac before bed. i havent had it since. i dont know which is helping but im glad i havent had it for 10days. bit annoyed that what im doing myself seems to be working far better than what the dr prescribed. i still am none the wiser as to what is actually wrong with me. i still dont feel right in the day. very dry throat and cough. feel like something is there in the back of my throat. very clear nasal airways. weirdly clear - as if ive had a airway chewing gum! yet getting nasal drip. no heartburn. no indigestion.
