Hi All,

Just to introduce myself, I am 32 years and was a healthy male( Heavy Smoker) but from June 1 week,I felt something wrong, My throat started paining when i am touching from outside, after one week i went to GP and Diagnosed with pharyngitis and told me nothing to fear. but it didn't recover and i make up my mind to go to ENT. I googled a lot and scary things are giving me anxiety. ENT gave me PPI which reduced my sore throat almost completely but I developed hoarseness in voice and started breathing issue. i had my chest X-ray done and PFT test. Xray was good but PFT was bad(Lungs age 102). Now another sysmptom arises Ear clogged and Neck pain.

I did upper endoscopy and found swelling and inflammation with edema, no cancer visibility. Ear pain has increased as well. Every Afternoon my throat becomes scratchy and warmth in throat. I am really frustrated and it is taking a toll in my life. After 3 months I have very mild sore throat, mild neck pain, both ear clogged and sometimes ear pain.life style change has a very less impact in my symptom.

sometimes i have fever kind symptoms and night sweating.

Can anyone help me

If they couldn't see cancer that is good news.

I had LPR (so hoarse I lost my voice), but that was diagnosed by an ENT sticking a camera down my throat. No CT scans at all. Have your vocal cords and throat been examined with a camera? If not, I suggest you do.

Have you considered upper respiratory infection or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease?

If you're seeing an ENT and he/she isn't helping, it's time to go elsewhere. Nobody should have to struggle with complaints because a physician is not as experienced as he thinks he/she is. Get names of ENT doctors in a major hospital near you and do some background work into who is a throat specialist. ENTs are not all great at the E, the N and the T.

One m ore thing. If you find an ENT that is expert in the "T"and he recommends surgery, go and seek another opinion. I was diagnosed with a tumor on the vocal cord. Three ENTs wanted to operate. I kept looking until I found someone who would give me heavy duty medications rather than surgery. I am in my 4th year of meds, but it's much better than surgery which could have made me lose my voice.
