Laser operation what to expect

Hi

I have laser therapy to lower pressure in the eyes, SLT surgery, and I read on the net that after the operation, they check the pressure in the eye again.

What is it like, having the pressure checked? I had the pressure checked before where the doctor is behind the machine, and there's this blue light. But I saw the slit lamp on the net, where there's no machine, and the doctor actually touches the eye with some long thing device, and that looked pretty horrible.

Can someone who had a laser therapy share their experience?
