Last surgeon visit

Had my last visit with my surgeon last week. 8 months post op. WOW it went great! He kept saying "fabulous". He acted surprised I have full range of motion and no pain. Not the strength I want, but that will come. Then he asked if I minded if he brought in another surgeon to see how far I have come. This guy kept saying "very impressive". Actually I originally wanted to see the 2nd surgeon but there was too long of a wait to see him. I told him that and he said it is a good thing I didn't chose him because he would not have performed this complicated procedure on me. They joked about me coming in once a month to show other patients it is possible to recover. ha haI had 2 failed surgeries in 2 years. I am no spring chicken, 70 years old. The last procedure was called a superior capsular reconstruction, essentially rebuilding the rotator cuff using donated cadaver tissue. I highly recommend anyone having shoulder surgery to follow their doctor's orders to a T and do everything your physical therapist recommends, including home exercises. Take it easy, take it slow and you will get there. Wish all of you the best. Thank you all for your advice and sympathies during this difficult time. This group saved my sanity.
