I would like to ask a question on how many weeks to be fully pain free, I have the op 13 days ago and i still have pain down there. Is it too soon to expect anything?

Not had a hemmoroidectomy but have had LIS, it took a 1-2 weeks to recover from surgery, 6 weeks for the fissure and incision to completely heal. Though it took several months for pain to go away. But that's because my fissure was deep and several years old and the nerves were repairing.

10 days is a bit early to tell, see how you're feeling after a month.

Ok thankyou. I will post an update after a month , my fissure was for about 7years now . I think it is a deep cut so as you said it will take months to heal . Anyway how about you? completely healed?

I only had discharge once after my surgery and never since. Make an appointment with a surgeon to check what it is. What kind of pain do you have? Sharp pain in the middle?

I am 17 days post OP now and i'm still in pain i dont know if the fissure is still there because the surgical site pain is what i am suffering now its like having the same pain as the fissure around the area. Yes i think it helps to heal the fissure however it will take a long time to be fully healed. Yes if your fissure is chronic i recommend it that's the only way to heal it. But if it is not chronic then maintain your stool soft and do lot of sitz bath

have you tried botox or had any reviews

thanks for the advice its nice to actualy speak to someone rather than getting scared to death reading all the horror stories

I heard that botox has 60% chance of healing and LIS with papilla removal has 95% so the surgeon performed the high success rate. I don't regret having it because the fissure pain is GONE! not 100% but all of my pain came from the surgery site. I will tell you it is really painful for me because my pain reliever is not high dosage it is only for acute pain. But you need to deal with the pain in order to overcome the issue. If you have chronic talk to your doctor and ask for LIS. Because there's a lot of success story from it. I am convincing myself that 17 days is so early to expect 100% pain free. As of now i am not taking pain reliever and the pain is 80/100%. But tomorrow will start taking again pain reliever because of this 80% pain
