Latest Visit to the Gyno - says no more clob cream.

Hya, I went to the gyno yesterday. Complaining of labia minora getting obsorbed into the skin & shrinking! Also a small lump on one side, have been quietly worrying myself for the last few weeks.
- Anyways - she’s checked down there says the lump maybe due to ingrowing hair focule? Bit odd but said if it grows any bigger you can get it cut out (yuck)...
- she states that there is nothing that can be done with shrinking of the labia minora everyone’s is different in size it’s part of the condition. I asked if I could apply clob there to stop this & she said no! Why would you want to think that skin more??? You have no itching etc.
I asked her about using borax she said yes I know lots of patients that do! It’s your choice I do not recommend this. As borax will irritate the skin and you are then left with a life time of applying spray borax, and other creams to that area and you have more breakouts then someone not using it. She says once the skin becomes irritated then it gets dry cracks starts to bleed, needs attention 24.7. So my question is has anyone reading this who uses borax have they stopped completely after the area healed ? Or is borax a life time thing.
Lastly she examined the 2 large white patches that I had and said. How often do you use clob. I said once a week. She said stop using this now the white patches have disappeared. Thank god! I said do I use it for when I flare up she said you wouldn’t need to the white areas are gone you don’t want to thin the skin.
So it’s been a mix feeling appoint. Still waiting for the vulvar clinic appointment it’s taking forever tbh.
Hope things improve for us all x

Hi. Was talking to a female doctor recently and she said there is a now a new way of thinking with regard to the 'thinning of skin' effect when using clob. As long as we use it sparingly spread thinly over area as advised when a flare up occurs, then when we stop using it, the skin as a constantly repairing organ will repair itself while we use the emu/olive/coconut oil routine etc. She agreed there is not much help out there for us poor souls ...my gynae doesn't even keep me on his books for regular check ups. Have to repeat the GP referral rigmarole. Its such a hit and miss treatment which we have to battle with ... let alone the miserable disease itself. Thank goodness for the lovely sharing people on this website. I've learnt such a lot. Thanks everyone and best wishes to you Blueplum.

True no help what so ever - not even physically or mentally it’s mind boggling.

I have posted this same mantra several times..I am glad you have shared your Dr's opinion. They seem to be on track of my Dr's who had my LS under control and in my Mine totally gone in 4 mo. Slow and steady wins the race ladies. Going overboard will help you in no way. We need to keep the PH balance down there. Clone to be used in such a small amount you should be shown or will over do. Seems like it's not enough but it is! You will injur the skin and get folliculitis (ingrown hair) if you over use. Short Bath with mild pH balanced cleanser is all that's needed. Every other day. Shower on others. No soap down there just pH cleanser. Olive oil for moisture.. I use morn and Eve. Again, just a bit not slathered on. Wish I could.send a before and after of my journey. She looks, feels, and functions perfectly. I will repeat this every once in awhile. It was hard to follow/believe my Dr's advice but I did to a T and I won.

Thanks hun, might try the ph balance cleanser. Since I’ve been diagnosed I’ve moved away from baths, use to love Radox soaks & seaweed salt baths it’s a right bummer 😢.
So hun since your white patches have gone and you have reduced the clob have you noticed any changes with the labia minora?
Also did you make any diet changes as well ?

Hi, no diet changes but a basically healthy balanced diet..non-white and yes I have my lips back! And my hood!
The problem is I think we panic so much and over work that area with all the magic potions. Basically try everything you want just don't over do it! The Vagina is self sufficient. Has her own moisture and oils. If that's stripped away she can't heal. I believe early diagnosis helps and not being afraid to biopsy or start the directed treatment. If you wait to seek help or are afraid of looking down there you can't beat it. I LOVE to look there everyday now and see how beautiful she became again. Good luck to all and stay healthy and stay the course!

Wow thank you for your advice. It’s brill - think i went the extreme with my health, but it’s shown amazing improvements and results.
I started off with but all 100% cotton knickers 2 sizes bigger. Then I stopped using shower gels, bath salts etc and just have water shower no baths & only use cream wash down there.
Removed 90% sugar from diet, no gulten, no dairy.
Touch wood now I feel that things have improved. Massively patches gave gone too. Thank you for your advice x
